Guest Lecturer Walter Bodlander

A  German-Jewish refugee, Walter Bodlander returned to Germany with the U.S. Army as a Military Intelligence Officer. A member of the famed Ritchie Boys, he interrogated German prisoners and liberated concentration camps. In combat, Bodlander earned two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart. Today he lectures at the Museum of Tolerance in the hope that events like those he encountered in Nazi Germany will not be forgotten and never repeated.
